The
Salt River Canyon - a spectacular drive, northeast of Phoenix.
Between
Globe AZ and Roosevelt Dam. We had just come through another
rainstorm, this one early in the morning, and seen a spectacular
rainbow over the valley behind us. The rain left the air fresh
and clear; the light was wonderful. The happy surveyor to the left
is Barbara.
Along
the Apache Trail - The Apache Trail is a graded dirt road running
from Roosevelt Dam to some small town east of Phoenix, through the
Superstition Mountains. We saw a large, very speedy flock
of ducks flying up the river.

I am shooting in an IDPA contest. The targets are metal
"poppers" which - in theory - bounce down and back up when
one hits them. I discovered that it depends very much on WHERE
one hits them. The shooting was part of Black Lodge, and was
lots of fun.
