Temple of Inscriptions - it was closed for renovation while we were there, so we didn't get to descend to Pakal's tomb.  Temple of the Cross - The highest temple (uncovered so far) at Palenque.  Also known as temple of the moon in some traditions.  Yes, that white spot just above and to the right of the temple is the waxing moon. Temple of the Sun - I took this photo from the Temple of the Cross.  See how the rainforest rises up behind the temple!

The Palace - Most of the buildings at Palenque were single-temple-at-the-top-of-many-steps, but the Palace was an extremely complex building with many levels, courtyards and passageways, and a variety of types of windows.   This photo was also taken from the Temple of the Cross.

Misol-ha - A 100' waterfall near Palenque.  To the right of the waterfall, hidden by the tree, is a cave.  In the cave is another waterfall and a beautiful pool. Hotel Flamboyant in Tuxtla Gutierrez - The hotel is apparently named for the trees around the pool.
